Since launching her namesake line in 2014, jewelry designer Jess Hannah’s 222,000-plus Instagram followers have turned to her feed for a dreamy display of the Angeleno’s minimalist heirloom-inspired bijoux. As of this week, her fan base, which includes Eliana Gil Rodriguez and Cassi Gibson, has a new J. Hannah creation to double-tap: a Japanese Akoya pearl capsule collection.

“I really liked the organic pear shape,” the 27-year-old says of the rare baroque find that now dangles from a 14 karat gold necklace chain and simple ball earrings. And though there’s no ring in the lineup, the specialty number nevertheless extends to the fingertips thanks to a new nail polish, the 15th addition to J. Hannah’s offering of hushed seven-free hues.

“Often people associate colors and jewel tones—a deep purple for amethyst; blue for emerald—but I didn’t want to do it in such an obvious way,” she explains of Akoya, a a sheer gold with a luminous—not sparkly—finish. “It has a subtle luster,” she adds of the shade that’s bound to light the way for the glitter-resistant this holiday season.

With only 50 pieces on offer, the race is on to see who can get their hands on the pearl adornments before they’re sold out—but rest assured the varnish is here to stay. “You can layer it with other things and be quite extravagant,” says Hannah. “But on its own it feels really special and luxurious.”
